Günther Jauch’s successor as moderator of “People, Pictures, Emotions” has been determined. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg makes his RTL debut before that.
For a quarter of a century, from 1996 to 2021, Günther Jauch looked back on the past year for RTL. It has been known since November of last year that he would not continue to do so from this year on. But now the broadcaster has announced who will moderate the annual review program “People, Pictures, Emotions” in the future: Thomas Gottschalk and former Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg.
RTL is also currently working on two documentary formats with Guttenberg. The first, which deals with Vladimir Putin’s politics, will be available in November on the RTL+ streaming portal. Thomas Gottschalk is also already working for RTL: he moderates the improvisation entertainment show together with Günther Jauch and Barbara Schöneberger “Because they don’t know what’s going to happen” and soon the new season of the puppeteer talent show “Die Puppenstars”.
The 2022 edition of “People, Pictures, Emotions” will be broadcast by RTL on December 11 from 8:15 p.m.
