Google Invests $1.56 Billion in Blockchain Company Between September 2021 and June 2022

A recent analysis by Blockdata compared data gathered from the top 100 banks that frequently invest in crypto and blockchain companies.

The report has compiledinformationFrom September 2021 to mid-June 2022 during this time, 40 companies have invested in businesses operating in the blockchain/crypto industry. The most active investors were Samsung with 13 investments, followed by UOB with seven investments and Citigroup and Goldman Sachs.

Data from the report reveals Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has invested more than $1.5 billion in four blockchain and crypto companies in Fireblocks, Dapper Labs, Voltage and Digital Currency Group.

BlackRock follows Alphabet with $1.17 billion in investments across three companies, including Circle, FTX and Anchorage Digital.

Between September 2021 and June 2022, 40 companies have invested nearly $6 billion in blockchain startups, but there is no information on how much each contributed to the project. Because some rounds involve a large number of investors.
