It takes 51 seconds until it is clear where the journey is going. This is the moment when at Google’s developer conference I/O the term artificial intelligence (AI) is used for the first time. Shortly thereafter, the introductory video ends and Sundar Pichai takes the stage in Mountain View, California. “We have the opportunity to make AI even more helpful,” says the Google boss. “We’re in the process of redesigning all of our core products, including search.”
