Google Cloud is adding support for the Solana blockchain to BigQuery to make it easier to access Solana data, nine years after Bitcoin was first added to the service.
Support for Solana will be available in Q1 2023, according to Nalin Mittal, web3 head for Google Cloud, at the Breakpoint event in Lisbon.
Google Cloud is already using Solana validator, Mittal said, and is learning more about the blockchain to figure out how to operate it efficiently. and to bring Solana support to the Blockchain Node Engine.
