This future line C metro station will make it possible to reach the airport in less than 7 minutes and will take the route of the T2 tram. The Airport line will be put into service at the end of 2026 in connection with the T1 line.

Although these works and therefore the total shutdown of the T2 line offer a new perspective in terms of transport in the Toulouse metropolis, users are still nervous about this new inconvenience. “It’s really not the time: between the price of gasoline, the works in the city center, the traffic jams on the ring road…, breathes Antoine, a resident of Blagnac who will have to go to work by car. The bus is not a solution for me. »

“Between strikes, works, etc. moving to Toulouse, it becomes hell. And in addition we lose a tram line! I used the T2 line every week to go to my sports lessons, I would take the bus, ”says Cléo, a law student, resigned. “They want soft mobility and they force us to take the bus or the car,” says Samia, who is waiting in vain for her tram… in the middle of a strike.

A miss for travelers

But the most affected will be long-distance travelers because if the T1 line will serve most of the stops and will be reinforced, the T2 line provided access to Toulouse-Blagnac airport… “In forty-five minutes when we left the palace of justice, of course, but it still saved us quite a bit. It avoided Uber or taxi in the evening and especially paying for parking which is very expensive at the airport. It was one less organization when you took the tram to get on the plane. Especially in summer,” complains Christophe, who regularly flies to Paris for work. On the other hand, Tisséo has not left users with nothing since two bus lines (30 and 31 created for the occasion) will make it possible to commute in the absence of the T2 tram on the same line and the passage of the T1 will be reinforced. for certain stops as well as the airport shuttle.
