Erling Haaland: Lots of goals and a title
Haaland is currently out due to an injury, but his numbers speak for themselves. The 21-year-old scored 41 goals in 41 competitive games.
There were ten stalls in the premier class – even if the quarter-finals of the CL season 2020/21 were over for BVB. A great achievement!
In addition, Erling Haaland won his first title with BVB since he came to Dortmund from Salzburg in early 2020. With a double pack he shot black and yellow to win the DFB Cup against RB Leipzig.
Robert Lewandowski: A record for the ages?
But Lewandowski was also more than enthusiastic. The 33-year-old trumped the goal record set by Gerd Müller in the Bundesliga and scored no less than 41 times in one season.
For this he then received the Golden Shoe in Europe’s top leagues. In the summer, the Pole scored three goals in three group matches at the EM 2021, after which his country had to say goodbye to the tournament.
