GOAL50, 2021 – Head to Head: Erling Haaland vs. Robert Lewandowski

Haaland vs. Lewandowski – the two clippers meet as they want in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League. Who do you vote for?

Will Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) one day follow in Robert Lewandowski’s footsteps at Bayern Munich? DFB legend Lothar Matthäus said he would be impressed by this, as would certain fans of the German record champions.

The reason for this is simple: Despite its young age, Haaland has already developed into a goal machine. He even seems predestined for the role of Lewandowski’s successor.

Or has the 21-year-old already drawn level? Do you think Haaland had a better year 2021 than 33-year-old Lewandowski?

at GOAL50 you have the chance to become active yourself and to vote. You will be shown random direct comparisons between two players, you decide who wins the duel.

The head to head between Haaland and Lewandowski is certainly one of the most exciting at GOAL50.

Erling Haaland: Lots of goals and a title

Haaland is currently out due to an injury, but his numbers speak for themselves. The 21-year-old scored 41 goals in 41 competitive games.

There were ten stalls in the premier class – even if the quarter-finals of the CL season 2020/21 were over for BVB. A great achievement!

In addition, Erling Haaland won his first title with BVB since he came to Dortmund from Salzburg in early 2020. With a double pack he shot black and yellow to win the DFB Cup against RB Leipzig.

Robert Lewandowski: A record for the ages?

But Lewandowski was also more than enthusiastic. The 33-year-old trumped the goal record set by Gerd Müller in the Bundesliga and scored no less than 41 times in one season.

For this he then received the Golden Shoe in Europe’s top leagues. In the summer, the Pole scored three goals in three group matches at the EM 2021, after which his country had to say goodbye to the tournament.

So who do you vote for? Is Lewandowski still the king or has Haaland already passed?

And who do you think should win the GOAL50 rating?

This year it’s not our list, it’s yours!
