The top ten in “Germany’s Next Top Model” are allowed to make fewer mistakes than usual in front of model mom Heidi Klum (49) in the last few meters. On Thursday evening, Klum made it clear again that she not only expected professionalism from the top ten, but also also sovereignty and self-confidence.
Candidate Selma (18) was twice as happy: she not only grabbed a coveted job, but was also allowed to shoot under the palm trees of Fuerteventura with a male model.

Desert shooting with a scary factor
After Nicole (49), Ida (23) and Selma had completed a casting for “Peek & Cloppenburg” in Düsseldorf, their decision-makers finally sent Selma to Fuerteventura for a photo shoot with a male model.
While she was having a great time under the palm trees, the other top model candidates were scared and anxious. They moved into a motel for the desert shoot with star photographer Kristian Schuller (52). And that didn’t offer the luxury that the ladies expected.
Coco (20) panicked at the sight of the gloomy motel: “Do you think someone has ever been murdered here?” Only Mirella (21) was happy about the new domicile: “I just felt really comfortable!”
For the GNTM shoot Selma then returned with Schuller – and was once again enthusiastic. After spectacular pictures with colorful caps, robes and balls, it wasn’t just her who received praise. Above all, Somajia (21) made Heidi shine: “I’m raving about you, Somajia.”

After the Olivia (22) shoot, however, enthusiasm was limited, and even after Mirella’s performance, she reacted Heidi Klum cautious: “She’s doing it so theatrically!”
Corona quarantine at GNTM
The subsequent walk for star designer Esther Perbandt (48) then plunged a candidate into deep despair: Somajia tested positive for Corona and had to quarantine in the motel. Symptom-free and full of energy, she completed her own walk in front of her mobile phone camera, but much less complex than the presentation of her model colleagues.
Although they were happy to finally be able to walk in flat shoes, they sometimes struggled with their outfits. Mirella in particular was troubled by her long and heavy skirt: “I think that could be tough. That something slips between your legs and you then stumble.”

Before Klum, top model Karolina Kurková and Perbandt didn’t stumble, but the three judges didn’t react enthusiastically either. Kurková lacked confidence: “You have to know how to move in it and what poses you can offer!”
The lucky streak was over for Selma too. Not only did she walk over the predetermined markings, she also surprised Kurková in particular with a very bouncy gait. She promptly lent a hand and coached Selma by placing a folder on her head and telling her: “Now run!” The trick worked, but Selma was then considered a shaky candidate.

Mirella also suspected that it would be tight for her: “Of course I’m shaking. So many photos have already been awarded!” Together with Selma, Olivia and Katherine, she once again stood in front of the three jurors as a shaky candidate.
Klum not only criticized Mirella’s walk, but also the photo shoot with Schuller: “The process of getting this photo was more complicated than with the others.” Esther Perbandt had been disappointed with the walk: “With Mirella, it’s one of my favorite rocks. I didn’t get it presented the way I had hoped.”

The sentence followed by Heidi Klum, in front of which all candidates from “Germany’s Next Topmodel” afraid: “Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo for you today.” When she left, she hugged Mirella, who had probably been waiting for this for a while: “At least I can finally hug you!”
