But now rescue is near: Thyssenkrupp wants to channel waste heat from the Duisburg steelworks into the brewery from next year. Eon is planning a 450 meter long line for this. The Federal Ministry of Economics is promoting the project as part of the energy efficiency competition. Administrative officials who drink red wine see it as a model project to reconcile the concerns of the environmental movement with the interests of the pub.

The plans are said to cause displeasure among thirsty steel cookers. It is said that one is happy that the unspeakable heat in the plant is at least of benefit to other people. However, there is still a lack of a pipeline that would direct the cool pils back into the steelworks, but this is a question of fairness.
