“Glass Onion”: You may have missed the appearances of these stars

Daniel Craig and Edward Norton star in new Netflix movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mistery. Norton, playing the eccentric billionaire Miles Bron, invites some friends over to a private island – and well-known detective Benoit Blanc, played by Craig. In a detective game, they are supposed to find out who killed the host. But the game quickly turns serious.

Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn and Leslie Odom Jr. star alongside Craig and Norton in the Knives Out sequel. But throughout the film there are a number of stars that only appear for a moment and then disappear again. So fast that many viewers didn’t even register who they were dealing with.

“Glass Onion”: Among others, Ethan Hawke and Hugh Grant appear

There is no shortage of so-called cameo appearances in “Glass Onion”. Director and screenwriter Rian Johnson has engaged Hugh Grant and Ethan Hawke, among others – Hollywood greats who are actually regularly booked for the really big roles themselves. Hawke just dropped by while on his family vacation in Greece, Johnson told The Insider. Celebrities from the world of music and sports also appear.

Another famous name never appears but is something of the elephant in the room: Billionaire Miles Bron’s character bears close resemblances to Elon Musk. No coincidence, as Rian Johnson confirms. When it was suggested in an interview with Wired magazine that he might write a film about the demise of Twitter, the director replied: “Didn’t I just do that?”

However, he isn’t alluding to Musk with “Glass Onion,” Johnson said. “There’s a lot of general stuff about this species of tech billionaire that’s flowed right into this, but obviously it has a weird relevance to him current moment.”
