Girls’ choirs rock Taufkirchen – district of Munich

The audience can look forward to a double concert with female singing power this Friday, February 17, in the culture and congress center in Taufkirchen. The main act of the evening is the Danish girls’ choir Mariagerfjord Pigekor, and the young women’s choir Independent Women from the music school Grünwald will also show their skills.

Mariagerfjord Pigekor consists of 25 singers aged 13 to 20, all from the Danish region of Mariagerfjord. The choir sings well-known pop songs by Billie Eilish, Adele, Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Robyn, Imagine Dragons, The Beatles and more. Independent Women from Grünwald under the direction of Elisabeth Daiker can be seen and heard in the opening act. The singers, aged between 14 and 24, perform with three to four-part arrangements of pop, rock and musicals. In 2022, the video production by the women from Grünwald “Drivers License” aroused national interest. The choir was last heard last year at the big benefit concert for the Ukraine at the Taufkirchen cultural center. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Information and tickets are available at https://kulturzentrum-taufkirchen.de.
