Show jumper Iain Bethke has been Gina-Maria Schumacher’s side for several years. In 2017, Sabine Kehm, manager of the Schumacher family, confirmed the relationship on the sidelines of an event in Munich. “It’s her boyfriend, they have been together for a long time,” replied the 57-year-old when asked about Schumacher’s companion. The couple hardly ever appears together in public. At Christmas, however, Bethke and Schumacher posed together for a card that the 24-year-old published on her Instagram profile.
The two can be seen in jeans, a shirt and a western hat, posing with one of Schumacher’s horses. “Merry Christmas to everyone, may the festival be filled with love and joy,” said Michael Schumacher’s daughter on the photo on which she adjourned Bethke. The 26-year-old’s Instagram account is private. But you can see his profile photo, which shows him together with Gina Schumacher.
The Schumacher family owns a ranch in Switzerland
The motif of the Christmas card was taken on her mother Corinna Schumacher’s ranch in Switzerland. The 52-year-old is also a passionate western rider and has passed her passion on to her daughter. Gina Schumacher sat on a horse for the first time at the age of three and is now one of the most successful athletes in reining, a special discipline in western riding.
In a documentary for the streaming provider Netflix, family members and companions of Michael Schumacher recently gave unusually private insights and also talked about the tragic accident of the former Formula 1 world champion. On December 29, 2013, Schumacher fell while skiing in the French Alps and, despite wearing a helmet, suffered a traumatic brain injury. The family continues to keep a secret about how he is doing around eight years after the accident.
In addition to Schumacher’s wife Corinna, the children Gina-Maria and Mick had their say in the documentary. He “would give up anything” to talk to his father about Formula 1, said the 22-year-old, who made his debut with the Haas F1 Team this season.
