These will be placed on both sides of the Saint-André and Saint-Pierre courtyards, located behind the cathedral.
This fan zone will be free and accessible to all, and will accommodate up to 20,000 Canaries fans. The site will open to the public from 6 p.m., with four entrances: rue Chauvin, rue Tournefort, rue Georges-Clemenceau and rue Henri IV. The City of Nantes also warns that “alcohol, dangerous objects, glass objects, hard plastic or stainless steel water bottles, bulky bags, animals, bicycles are strictly prohibited on the site. »
Prefer public transport
As for traffic, it is better to anticipate. It will be prohibited on these four streets from 2 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. No entry will be possible in the Cathedral and Castle car parks during this time slot. Only outings will be allowed. For drivers, it is therefore strongly advised to park further away and then reach the site by public transport.
The trams will operate normally until the start of the match. Then, the trams will be cut as follows, between 9 p.m. and the end of service:
- Tram line 1 cut between the Médiathèque and Duchesse-Anne stops
- Tram line 2 cut between the Motte-Rouge and Hôtel-Dieu stops
- Tram line 3 cut between the Bretagne and Hôtel-Dieu stops
- Busway line 4 Foch station not served
Buses and Chronobus will also be impacted. In the city center, the castle of the Dukes of Brittany and the water mirror will be illuminated in the colors of FC Nantes. Many bars should also broadcast the meeting.
