Gianni Infantino announces that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup

Saudi Arabia is touching on the organization of the 2034 World Cup and we will have to come back for the suspense. In an Instagram post, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Tuesday the organization of this prestigious competition by the Gulf country. Saudi Arabia is alone in the running, after the withdrawal of Australia’s candidacy on Tuesday, October 31.

“The World’s Greatest Show will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States in 2026 – in North America. The next two editions of the FIFA World Cup will take place in Africa (Morocco) and Europe (Portugal and Spain) – with three celebration matches in South America (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) – in 2030 and in Asia (Saudi Arabia) in 2034. Three editions, five continents and ten countries involved in organizing matches of the tournament – this is how football becomes truly global! »rejoices the president of Fifa.
