After the success of the 2021 reboot, the “Ghostbusters” are getting another sequel. Sony Pictures also announces Venom 3.

The next round for ghostbusters: Sony Pictures is working on a sequel to “Ghostbusters: Legacy” from 2021. As the industry magazine “Variety” reports, the production company announced a sequel at the CinemaCon film fair.

So far, however, there are no details about the story of the new “Ghostbusters” film. Young actors like Finn Wolfhard (19), Logan Kim and Mckenna Grace (15) took over the baton from the original ghostbusters Bill Murray (71), Dan Aykroyd (69) and Ernie Hudson (76) in “Ghostbusters: Legacy”. The original stars stopped by for a guest appearance. It is not yet known whether this also applies to the sequel.

“Venom 3” is also coming

Sony Pictures also announced Venom 3 at CinemaCon alongside Ghostbusters: Legacy. The first two parts about the “Spider-Man” opponent played by Tom Hardy (44) were hits in cinemas in 2018 and 2021.

The production company also presented material for several other upcoming films. Among them were “Equalizer 3”, the Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “A Man Called Otto” with Tom Hanks (65).
