GHG quota: Why “earning money with the electric car” needs patience

An electric car or larger e-motorcycle should bring owners a quick passive income. As part of the GHG quota (greenhouse gas reduction quota), you can sell the saved CO2 emissions from your vehicle to a mineral oil company and earn more than 300 euros a year.
Tens of thousands of keepers have done the same since the beginning of the year. “There is a great deal of interest in the possibility of offsetting the electricity used in road traffic against the GHG quota,” said a spokesman for the Federal Environment Agency last week. In fact, many GHG quota providers had promised their customers the payouts for February or March 2022.
