Germering: Drunk and without a driver’s license rolled over with a car – Fürstenfeldbruck

A drunk driver without a license overturned his car in Germering on Sunday night. Shortly before one o’clock, a 17-year-old Swiss drove his car south along Untere Bahnhofstrasse. When exiting the roundabout, the young driver lost control of his vehicle, possibly due to excessive speed, according to the police, entered the oncoming lane and from there left the road.

Here he collided with a traffic sign and a tree, as a result of which the vehicle overturned. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for further investigation. According to initial findings, his 16-year-old passenger was not injured, but was also taken to a hospital for further examinations.

The vehicle suffered significant damage, which is estimated to be in the high four-digit range. A voluntary breath alcohol test by the driver also showed a value of over 1.1 per mille. As a result, a blood sample was taken. The driver now faces criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic as a result of alcohol and driving without a license.
