Germany and the USA want to supply armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden agreed on this, as stated in a joint statement.

Germany and the USA want to supply Ukraine with armored personnel carriers for the fight against the Russian attackers for the first time. Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden agreed on this in a telephone call on Thursday, as it was then said in a joint statement.

“Marder” from Germany, “Bradley” from USA

Biden and Scholz expressed their shared determination to “provide Ukraine with the necessary financial, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support for as long as is necessary.” Therefore, the United States wants to provide Ukraine with Bradley armored personnel carriers. Germany wants to supply “Marder” infantry fighting vehicles, as stated in the declaration of both countries. The Ukrainian armed forces are to be trained on the respective systems of both states.

The United States and Germany also want to help Ukraine with Ukraine’s air defense: “At the end of December, the United States announced that it would deliver a Patriot anti-aircraft missile battery to Ukraine. Germany is joining the United States in providing another Patriot anti-aircraft missile battery .”
