Her role as the contract killer “Kleo” convinced the jury of the German Television Prize: Jella Haase was named best actress.

She became known for her iconic role in “Fack Ju Göhte”, and now Jella Haase (30) has cleared this year’s show German Television Awards won the most important individual prize as best actress for her performance as a GDR contract killer in the Netflix action series “Kleo”. The series itself was also honored as the best drama series of the year. Actor Philip Froissant (29) was honored as the male counterpart to Haase on Thursday evening at the Coloneum in Cologne for his role in the Netflix series “The Empress”.

“The Mayor” (ZDF) was named the best television film, and the Frank Schätzing film adaptation “The Schwarm” (ZDF) was named the best multi-part film. In the entertainment sector, Bill and Tom Kaulitz (34) won the most important prize for the best entertainment show for “That’s my Jam” (RTL+). “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, even better known as the RTL jungle camp, was at least able to win the award for the best reality entertainment show this year. Barbara Schöneberger (49) was chosen for the best individual performance in the entertainment sector for her moderation of the “Eurovision Song Contest 2023 – Our Song for Liverpool” (ARD/NDR).

This year’s honorary award went to comedian, author, producer, actor and director Michael “Bully” Herbig (55). In its justification, the jury said that Bully knew how to put a smile on the audience’s face like no other. He wrote film and television history with his works.
