Table leaders Red Bull Munich have gone empty-handed in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) after four consecutive victories. At the start of the 42nd match day, the previous year’s second team surprisingly lost 2-1 at home to the Schwenninger Wild Wings (0-1, 1-0, 0-1). Alexander Karachun (58th) shot Schwenningen to victory after Munich’s Patrick Hager (33rd) equalized the early lead of Johannes Huss (8th). At the top, however, Munich has a reassuring 15-point lead over pursuer Adler Mannheim.
