Gerhard Schröder calls for mandatory vaccination in a video message

See in the video: Gerhard Schröder pleads for compulsory vaccination and solidarity in the Corona crisis.

Dear friends, We have had a tough year. Economically and politically and for many of us certainly also personally.

A clear video message just before Christmas:

Gerhard Schröder turns to his followers on Instagram.

The former Chancellor calls on his wife Soyeon’s account to show solidarity in these hard times.

Let us therefore confront those for whom their own freedom is so important that they disregard the health and life of others.

For the 77-year-old, a voluntary vaccination decision in the corona pandemic is not sufficient.

And let us therefore support a democratic state that enforces compulsory vaccination, protects the majority against a vocal minority and, by the way, also helps a part of this minority to get out of the self-chosen isolation through a state command.

His message met with a lot of approval:

Very nice speech and presented very nicely! You speak to me from the bottom of my heart, I am completely with you. We wish you both a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for these clear and wonderful words.

You speak to me from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much and all the best for both of you.

Very apt word.

Thank you for the clear and wonderful words.

Critics say that compulsory vaccination is an encroachment on personal rights

Gerhard Schröder had already spoken out in favor of compulsory vaccination in an exclusive Stern interview at the end of November:

I would have tried to enforce compulsory vaccination relatively early in the pandemic.

The current federal government has not yet decided whether a mandatory vaccination will be established in Germany.
