Management refuses to bend. Geoffroy Lejeune (ex-Valeurs Actuelles) will head the Sunday newspaper (JDD) from August 1. However, the staff of the newspaper has been on strike since June 22 against this appointment.
In a text published on Twitter with the title “A month already”, last Saturday, the editorial staff of the weekly underlined its “flawless mobilization” in the face of a “total break with the identity of a 75-year-old newspaper” and reiterated its demands: it remains opposed to the arrival of Geoffroy Lejeune, marked on the far right, and demands guarantees of legal and editorial independence.
