The city dweller does not exist. Students, commuters, families with small children, the homeless, single parents, the blind and deaf, teenagers, senior citizens, people with a migration background – they all use the urban infrastructure. But not everyone uses them in the same way. Because our cities are not equally accessible, experienceable and safe for everyone. Many public buildings and train stations are still not barrier-free, women often do not feel safe in cities, cyclists and pedestrians are disadvantaged compared to car drivers.
