Watch the video: “Gen V” is not for the faint of heart – the bloody “The Boys” spin-off in the trailer.

The “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V” starts on Amazon Prime Video on September 29th. All information about the comic film adaptation – and why it could be particularly interesting for “Wednesday” fans.

The Amazon Prime series “The Boys” is one of the streaming provider’s most watched series. However, it will still be a while before the long-awaited fourth season is available. Fans of the series can while away the waiting time with a new spin-off of the hit from September 29th.

“Gen V”: “Wednesday” meets “The Boys”

The comic film adaptation “Gen V” tells the back story of the crazy superheroes we know from “The Boys” themselves. Because sooner or later even a superhero enjoys a school education. And in the case of “Gen V” this takes place in the so-called Godolkin University School of Crime Fighting. Young people with extraordinary abilities are trained here every day to be able to save the world one day – and that inevitably includes methods that seem a little unconventional and particularly bloody, deadly tasks.

The setting of the series is somewhat reminiscent of the Netflix hit “Wednesday”, except that the students with special abilities can visit the Nevermore Academy and deal with gentler tasks than the competition from “Gen V”. As with “Wednesday”, a lot of mysterious things happen in the “Gen V” school – and the young people increasingly have to decide whether they want to be on the good or evil side.
