GeForce Now: Price increase on November 1st

Everything is becoming more expensive, including gaming via GeForce Now: Nvidia announced this in a press release and on a support page for its streaming game service. The prices increase by around 10 percent in each of the subscription levels. The company cites increased operating costs as the reason.

In the future, the simplest level of GeForce Now called Priority loudly a price table Instead of 9.99 euros, it costs one euro more per month; the slightly cheaper half-yearly subscription increases from 49.99 to 54.99 euros. For this purpose, Nvidia provides a so-called premium rig in the cloud, i.e. hardware that supports Ryatracing (“RTX On”) and achieves up to 60 frames per second up to Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The gaming session can last up to six hours at a time.

As the price table on Nvidia's product page shows, the prices for the GeForce Now game streaming service are increasing significantly.

As of November 1st, Nvidia is reducing the prices for its game streaming service by around 10 percent. The Ultimate level no longer costs just under 20 euros, but 2 euros more.

The Ultimate level will now cost 21.99 euros per month, two euros more than before. Here, too, there is a six-month subscription that will cost 109.99 euros instead of the previous 99.99 euros. The 3D performance should correspond to a computer with a GeForce RTX 4080 and is therefore sufficient for up to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and up to 120 fps. In addition, gaming sessions can last up to eight hours.

The “Founders Ultimate” membership for users who were already part of the GeForce Now beta phase and get discounted access is also becoming more expensive and now costs as much as before at 19.99 euros per month and 99.99 euros per half-year Ultimate. Only “Founders Priority” members continue to pay the old price of 5.49 euros that Nvidia promised them when GeForce Now was officially launched. This is what the line “Founders Priority members continue to receive their ‘Founders for Life’ price benefit” means.

The free basic version “Basic” with a gaming session lasting up to an hour on a “Basic Rig” will continue to be available.

Current subscriptions remain unchanged in price until the end of their term; the increased prices only become due afterwards. This at least results in a certain savings potential, because anyone who takes out a half-yearly subscription before the end of October will initially pay the lower monthly premiums. This is what Nvidia also writes in its press release, albeit somewhat cryptically: “The prices for premium GeForce NOW memberships will be increased in European currencies on November 1st. Both active and new members who register before November 1st , can lock in their membership at the current price for six months.”
