A 56-year-old woman died in a serious accident in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski area. On Christmas Day, the woman came off the ski path between Hochalm and Kreuzeck for reasons that were initially unclear and crashed into a tree, the police announced on Tuesday. Then she slipped a few meters on the steep terrain.
She was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter. The woman from Garmisch-Partenkirchen died a few hours later in hospital from her serious injuries. The police are now looking for witnesses to the accident. You are asked to call 08821/9170.
