A career in the England national team was never an option for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale (32). This was revealed by his advisor Jonathan Barnett in an interview with the English media. Instead, it has always been the big dream of the four-time Champions League winner to celebrate successes with the Welsh selection.
Barnett remembered the early days of the young winged racer’s career. “From the first day I met him and his father, he emphasized the importance of Wales to him,” said the agent. “At that time he still had the opportunity to play for England. But he said: ‘Never say that again if you want to be my agent.”
