In autumn, most plants slowly come to rest. Time to prepare the garden for winter. However, garden owners have more leeway than they did a few decades ago. “Today, it is no longer necessary to winterize the garden in a rush, it’s more of a leisurely process,” says Marianne Scheu-Helgert, division manager at the Bavarian Garden Academy of the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture in Veitshöchheim.
