Garchinger Bürgerwoche starts – district of Munich

This Thursday, June 30th, a Garchinger Bürgerwoche will start again after a two-year pandemic break. At 6 p.m., the two parishes of Laudate and St. Severin will open the celebrations with an ecumenical prayer in the marquee, before Mayor Dietmar Gruchmann (SPD) will tap the first beer keg. Up to and including July 4th, rides and an alpine hut offer the opportunity to have fun in the Bürgerpark on the Hüterweg, and musicians will play in the marquee with free admission. At 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, the city will light up the night sky above the Bürgerpark with a laser show accompanied by music. On Sunday from 12 p.m. onwards, clubs, the city council and citizens present themselves in the big parade with decorated floats. On July 6, the Garching Symphony Orchestra will play its summer concert in the community center. At the street festival from July 8th to 10th, clubs, businesses and creative people present themselves with food stands, a children’s program, at the arts and crafts market or on the open-air stage “Kulturbrettl”. There will also be a stand with Ukrainian specialties. The entire program can be found on the website of the city of Garching.
