It was of great help to all those who, for various reasons, were unable to go shopping themselves during the corona pandemic. Now the shopping service organized by the city of Garching, the boys’ clubs in Garching and Hochbrück, the local Deandl club and the footballers of VfR Garching has to stop due to a shortage of staff. The last service day is November 30th.
Christopher Redl, the contact person for the shopping service in the town hall, thanks the volunteers for their commitment. “The buyers have rightly earned the Garching honorary award for this!”, He says. The service started on March 20, 2020 and gave people who absolutely had to restrict social contacts for their own health, quick and unbureaucratic help by doing their shopping and mailing them.
