The Cologne Dorint Group opened its four-star superior hotel on the business campus in Garching this week. After two and a half years of construction, the house can welcome its first guests. The hotel offers 207 rooms including long-stay apartments, an open design lobby, spacious conference areas, a restaurant, a fitness area and a large roof terrace with a rooftop bar.
For the business campus, the opening of the hotel is another milestone for the service and infrastructure of the location, which has been anchored since the first master plan for the symbiosis of work and life, as stated in a press release by the project sponsor. The extensive range of offers on the Business Campus includes a wide range of shopping and dining options, childcare, a doctor, a fitness center, physiotherapy and post and parcel stations. The modern and sustainable mobility concept includes the good accessibility of the location via motorway, subway, bus or bicycle. Public electric charging stations as well as car sharing offers and rental bikes are available on site.
In addition to the hotel, further office space has been created in the new building on 3000 square meters. More than 1,400 square meters are used by Business Campus Management GmbH and the planning and engineering office DV Plan GmbH, which belongs to the DV Immobilien Group from Regensburg. The “Business Campus Office Hub” was established on the remaining area, where interested parties can rent small areas.
The Business Campus is a multifunctional office and service park in the north of Munich. So far, 120 companies employing more than 6,000 people have settled on the 230,000 square meters of floor space. After completion, the Garching location will be able to offer local companies flexible rental space on 264,000 square meters of floor space, according to the operator.
