Garching – Nelson Mass by Haydn – District of Munich


There is something special to experience in the parish church of St. Severin on Saturday, August 14th. The parish choir and orchestra perform the great “Nelson Mass” Hob. XXII: 11 by Joseph Haydn under the direction of Rudolf Drexl. The concert for the evening mass on the Assumption of Mary begins at 7 p.m. Haydn composed this work in the summer of 1798 with the note “Mass in times of distress and need.” If you want to be part of the concert experience, you have to register at the parish office on 089/326 74 20.
