Firefighters from the Garching fire brigade faced a fire in a garden shed in Dirnismaning early on Friday morning. The fire spread quickly. The house was “in full fire, and extinguishing water had to be brought in from a distance. The fire brigades from Hochbrück, Ismaning and the plant fire brigade of the Technical University of Munich intervened to help. Later in the morning, the fire had to be extinguished again because the fire broke out again at the fire site threatened.

According to a report from the Garching fire brigade, the emergency services were alerted at around 4.15 a.m. When the first fire engine arrived, it was already apparent that the garden shed on the plot was fully engulfed in flames. An area of ​​around 100 square meters was affected. A water supply was built from the Schleissheim Canal. The flames were fought from three sides using respirators. After about four hours, the extinguishing work was completed. A carpet was laid over the remains of the fire using compressed air foam to prevent subsequent ignition. Nevertheless, around 10.15 a.m., two fire engines had to go to the scene again to nip a fire in the bud.
