Geoff Keighley, producer and host of the show:

“I’m incredibly excited to be traveling with the whole team to gamescom 2022 in Cologne and to presenting gamescom: Opening Night Live personally and live in front of thousands of fans. We’re back with the big show – with lots of exciting game news, announcements and first looks. It will be great fun to be back in front of the fans – something we haven’t been able to do for a long time. We definitely put on a great show.”

Already the 2021 gamescom Opening Night Live was packed with news about over 30 highly anticipated titles. Almost 6 million people watched the event live via stream, making the show one of the most successful international gaming shows of the year. Trailers for AAA blockbusters alternated with longer gameplay sessions and in-depth interviews with studio guests.

The gamescom Opening Night Live will take place on August 23 at 8 p.m.
