Gamescom 2023 – today: tickets, opening hours and live stream

The annual Gamescom in Cologne is the largest computer and video game fair in the world – at least in terms of the number of visitors and the exhibition space. Of course, this also makes it one of the most important events in the gaming sector. Every year, countless developer studios present their latest projects and allow visitors to exclusively test unreleased games on site. After the double Corona compulsory break, the event was able to attract 265,000 visitors to Cologne again in 2022.

Exhibitors at Gamescom 2023: Which developers are there?

The Japanese video game and console manufacturer Nintendo was not at Gamescom for four years. In 2023, the billion-dollar company will be represented in Cologne again, but is holding back with new announcements and information on projects such as “Super Mario Bros. You can decide which games will be presented or playable at Gamescom 2023 on the official website of the organizer read. Opening times of Gamescom 2023: When is the fair open?

The games fair will take place from Thursday, August 24th to Sunday, August 27th, 2023. On the 23rd, the exhibition center is only open to media representatives and trade visitors. Gamescom 2023 will open its doors at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, and you can go to the games fair from 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The fair closes at 8 p.m. every day.

Gamescom 2023 in live stream: what does the streaming offer look like?

If you don’t have the opportunity to travel to Cologne for Gamescom 2023 this year, you still don’t have to miss out on the highlights of the gaming fair. The organizers offer a live stream on a wide variety of topics. It’s not just about the latest games and trailers, but also about other topics such as “women in the games industry” or “safety on the internet”.

On the Organizer’s website you can read the entire live stream program. Among other things, there will be live streams for Bethesda’s “Starfield”, “Splatoon 3” and “The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom”. The offer is completely free: the streams run on YouTube and no special access is required.

Gamescom 2023: tickets and prices

Tickets are still available for three of the four days of the event (as of August 22nd, 2023). Only Saturday is sold out. A regular day ticket is available from 27 euros, a reduced version (including for pupils, students, pensioners and the severely disabled) costs 19.50 euros. There is also a discounted evening ticket that grants access to the site from 4 p.m. All tickets and prices at a glance:
