Overcooked developer Ghost Town Games announced on Twitter that they will not include NFT in the game.
The company stated that “They will not bring NFT or Non Fungible Tokens into Overcooked and any future games,” citing excessive environmental and social costs.
However, the makers of the hit co-op game urged the community to Try to have a friendly conversation with other game crews who have different views on the matter.
A Ubisoft executive has previously responded to those who criticized the company’s introduction of NFT. “I think gamers still don’t understand what the digital secondary market can bring them.”
