Lottery player misses winning – second hit succeeds

That was close. A player has already thrown away the lottery ticket for a big win; she hadn’t noticed the hit. A few weeks later she was lucky again – and won twice.
Only a double lucky hit helped a Berlin lottery player win big and make a lot of money. The somewhat older one In mid-January, the woman won 600,000 euros in an additional game variant in the lottery, as the head of customer service at Lotto Berlin, Lutz Trabalski, told the German Press Agency. Because the woman doesn’t usually play this variant, she didn’t check the numbers, didn’t notice the win and threw the ticket away.
At the end of January, the woman won 777 euros on the Spiel77 game. She claimed this prize using her lottery customer card, which only contained her name and date of birth, and provided additional contact details. The lottery company was already aware of the customer card when she won the first prize, but only with the further data did she have the opportunity to contact the woman.
The amount of the first winnings was not initially revealed, said Trabalski. The woman appeared in person at the lottery center on Monday with her husband and adult son and appeared very happy and thanked her several times for the research.
