In an interview, Gal Gadot talks about her new Netflix project “Heart of Stone” and raves about co-star Matthias Schweighöfer.

In the action film “Heart of Stone” (released August 11 on Netflix), secret agent Rachel Stone embarks on a daring mission to save her organization, the Charter, and ultimately the whole world from a dangerous technology. The Israeli actress Gal Gadot (38) embodies the main character of the film.

“She is a woman with many contradictions,” she describes her role in an interview with the news agency spot on news, which took place before the actors’ union strike. “On the one hand, she’s an incredible secret agent who enjoys and lives the thrill and adrenaline. On the other hand, she doesn’t really function well in the system. She has a hard time following the rules. And she’s a woman who has a good sense of justice , follows her heart and loves people. Those things connect me to her.”

The film is packed with action and “we knew it was important that we shine with it,” Gadot says of the lavish shooting. “We had to prepare for months to practice all the crazy stunts.” She didn’t feel afraid. “You can’t afford that. The most important thing is that the stunt team makes you feel safe. If it gets too risky or dangerous, they step in.”

Gal Gadot: That’s what she appreciates about her husband

Gadot produced the film with her husband Jaron Varsano (48). “It’s wonderful and it’s the most natural thing in the world for me,” the actress says of working with her husband, with whom she has three daughters. “Jaron is the partner I live my life with and have children with. He’s the man I trust more than anyone else. And he’s extremely smart and a total businessman.” This completes them and vice versa. “It was a wonderful trip again this time.”

She often doesn’t really know “where life ends and work begins and vice versa,” explains Gadot. “But when we come home, the focus is on the children. We always make sure we have family time.” The actress continues to say that her three daughters are very proud of their mother and her work. “They are always very excited when a film comes out. They really support what I do and they are also a part of everything we do. We travel together as a family wherever we go. They are amazing.”

Matthias Schweighöfer has become a “good friend”.

In the film, Gadot can be seen alongside Germany’s Hollywood export Matthias Schweighöfer (42), who plays a charter technology specialist. “Matthias is extremely talented and a multifaceted actor,” enthuses Gadot. “He came to the set and tried different things, even different jokes. At the same time, he’s down to earth and so easy to talk to. He always makes you feel comfortable and in a good mood. He’s really at a good become a friend.”

With the British film star Jamie Dornan (41) or the Indian actress Alia Bhatt (30), the cast was very international. “I think it’s important for everyone in the world to feel represented and connected to at least one of the characters,” says Gadot. “At the end of the day, everyone who was on board were the perfect people for the job.” The film was shot in six different locations. “It was so much fun traveling around the world from Iceland to Portugal to Morocco to the UK,” the actress continues. “They all have their own magic and they all brought a different flavor to the film.”

Star on the Walk of Fame: “It’s surreal”

The “Wonder Woman” actress will soon have a special milestone in her career: next year she will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It’s surreal,” says Gadot. “I feel like I’ve been so busy since the announcement that I haven’t had time to really process it.” The actress says it’s unbelievable and she gets goosebumps when she says it out loud. “I’m super grateful and humbled.”
