“I’m an archaeologist with a list.” Gabriel breeding bar is a phenomenon. Since 2021, the 41-year-old has been in charge of the Archaeological Park in the ancient city of Pompeii, which was destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius. It is one of the most famous archeological sites in the world, only Rome, the Alhambra, Athens, the Pyramids of Giza and the Valley of the Kings have a similar power of fascination for a wider audience. When Gabriel breeding bar was appointed, he describes it vividly in his recently published book “The Magic of Downfall. What Pompeii Tells About Us”, “six weeks of continuous shelling” by opponents of his appointment. He was too young and too inexperienced, 140 colleagues signed a petition against him. However, this resistance did not come out of the blue.
