Gabriel Attal unveils his measurement schedule

After the main points, it’s time for the details. The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, revealed, Saturday February 10 in The Parisian, his calendar and his roadmap, after having brought together his entire government in Matignon in the morning, in full since Thursday.

On the economic front, he promises to “lift one by one the shackles that restrain the French” and announces that a project of “Macron law 2” will be presented before summer “to unleash economic activity, growth and industrial development”.

A two and a half hour government seminar

The fight against drug trafficking is also one of the priorities with the announcement in March of a “new anti-drug plan” focused on medium-sized towns. In response to last summer’s riots, Mr. Attal is also planning for spring “measures on juvenile justice [afin] to adapt our sanctions to the youngest”.

Another measure: the modification of the Solidarity and Urban Renewal (SRU) law, which sets quotas for social housing in certain municipalities, will be presented before the summer. For the start of the school year, the Prime Minister announces a bill “for Act II of labor market reform”. Among all the measures presented, Mr. Attal returns to the time spent on screens, which President Emmanuel Macron has made a priority, to announce his intention to “working with platforms to achieve a real digital lock” which prevents minors under the age of 13 from accessing social networks.

In the morning, Mr. Attal brought together almost all of his 34 ministers for a two and a half hour seminar, with the only one missing the Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu.
