Why is anger rising among farmers?

In recent weeks, farmers’ demonstrations have increased in France in Rennes, Avignon and Laval, after similar actions abroad in Germany and the Netherlands.

The reasons for the operators’ anger are diverse and reflect a deep feeling of abandonment within the profession. But the straw that broke the camel’s back was undoubtedly inflation which resulted in a sharp increase in farmers’ production costs.
