Gabriel Attal: Clone of the President – Politics

There are photos of Gabriel Attal in which you can see him with a few gray hairs. There are only a few, God forbid: on the temples, on the forehead. A small tribute to a crazy fast and steep career. Attal is only 34 years old and he is France’s new prime minister, the youngest in the history of the Fifth Republic since 1958. He dethrones the socialist Laurent Fabius in this not very important but interesting category. He was 37 when François Mitterrand made him head of government in 1984. That was a sensation; those were different times. And to round off this frivolous excursion into hair: Fabius was almost bald at the time. Power is a consuming business.
