A good twenty years after part one: “Full on your nuts” with Vince Vaughn should get a sequel.

Late sequel to “Full on the Nuts”. According to “Deadline” is planning a sequel to the 2004 dodgeball comedy. Like 20 years ago, Vince Vaughn (53) will play the main role. The actor is also set to serve as a producer. More details are not yet known as the project is still at an early stage.

“Full to the Nuts” was a surprise hit in 2004. The sports comedy grossed $167 million at a production cost of $20 million.

That’s what “Full on the Nuts” was about

Almost twenty years ago, Vince Vaughan played Peter La Fleur, the owner of a small gym. When he can no longer pay the rent, his cocky competitor White Goodman (Ben Stiller, 57) wants to take over his shop.

Peter needs to raise $50,000 in a short amount of time. So he enrolls himself and a couple of his studio’s loser clients in a dodgeball tournament. The dodgeball variation competition in Las Vegas has exactly the same amount up for grabs. To prevent Peter from winning the money, White Goodman registers a team himself – peppered with dodgeball stars.

“Dodgeball” (original title) also became a cult film thanks to numerous guest stars. Among others, William Shatner (92), Chuck Norris (83) as himself and David Hasselhoff (70) as coach of the German team looked past.

Sequel plans burst ten years ago

A sequel to the surprise hit was already being planned ten years ago. 20th Century Fox revealed a corresponding plan in 2013. Vince Vaughan and Ben Stiller should return in their roles. But as is well known, nothing came of it. Stiller last denied rumors of a sequel in 2016.
