Fuel allowance of 100 euros: dates, procedure, conditions for obtaining it… how to apply for it?

The decree governing the fuel allowance of 100 euros was published this Wednesday in the Official Journal.

If the date had already been announced by Bruno Le Maire, the decree published on January 4 in the Official Journal confirms that the fuel bonus may well be claimed from January 16 on the tax website.

While the rebate at the pump has disappeared since January 1, this compensation of 100 euros intended for the 10 million most modest workers, will be “paid by the Directorate General of Public Finance, after processing the applications, into the bank account communicated to the tax authorities for income tax by the tax household to which the eligible applicant belongs”.

No more than 14,700 euros

The request on impots.gouv.fr can be made until February 28, specifies Decreeby filling out a specific form.

To be eligible for this fuel bonus, your income for the year 2021 must not exceed 14,700 euros. The income taken into account is that shown “in one of the following sections of the tax return:
– all salaries and wages and similar income (excluding unemployment and early retirement);
– industrial and commercial benefits (BIC) micro-entrepreneurs or professionals;
– non-commercial benefits (BNC) micro-entrepreneurs or professionals;
– agricultural profits (BA).”

Any type of vehicle

This help applies to any type of “two, three or four-wheeled vehicle, internal combustion engine and/or electric, used for professional purposes including home-work journeys and regularly insured on the date of the request, excluding heavy motor quadricycles, agricultural vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and company or service vehicles.

Attention, “an applicant can only benefit from one compensation. The same vehicle cannot give rise to the payment of several compensations.”

This new government aid will cost around 1 billion euros to the state budget when the rebate at the pump has cost nearly 8 billion euros, had indicated the Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal.
