FTX offers $6 million in compensation to phishing victims. But emphasize that this will be the only time and the last time.

Sam Bankman-Fried Founder and CEO of FTX.post Twitter on Oct. 23 said it generally doesn’t give money to phishing victims. But in this case compensation will be provided.

Bankman-Fried said this would be a “one time” and that FTX would not “do this again”.

“This is not a role model,” he wrote, clarifying that. It is only the FTX user’s account will be refunded.

Recent phishing attacks This allows attackers to obtain API keys, which allow unauthorized trading with their crypto exchange accounts. The attack took place on Oct. 21 after 3Commas said it had received alerts about some users. There are unauthorized trading activities.

After a preliminary investigation, FTX and 3Commas suspended suspicious accounts to avoid further losses and disabled all compromised API keys.
