With icy temperatures the weather goes through the week. See where it gets coldest and where there is a warning about black ice.

Icy temperatures all over Germany: the thermometer falls below zero degrees everywhere, sometimes to minus 8 or minus 9 degrees. With the exception of a few areas in the west, light to moderate permafrost prevails in Germany. So warm clothes are a must, as are winter tires on the car.

According to the warning report from the German Weather Service, it can be smooth in some areas, especially in the east and south-east, and snow or freezing rain is also possible in some areas. Motorists should expect slippery roads, especially in the morning rush hour, due to freezing frost and wet conditions.
