A two-year-old was seriously injured in a dog attack in Lower Bavaria. The half-breed was with his master on a dirt road near Frontenhausen (Dingolfing-Landau district), as the police announced on Thursday.
There the animal suddenly ran into a garden and attacked the toddler. The two-year-old suffered several bite injuries to his head and body, among other things, and was flown to a clinic by helicopter. “As part of the previous investigations, it turned out that the dog had already bitten a person in Munich in March and in Frontenhausen in July of this year,” said a police spokesman.
The case with the toddler happened on Tuesday, so on Thursday afternoon the mixed breed was taken away from its 62-year-old owner and taken to an animal shelter. What happened to him was initially unclear. According to the announcement, the police searched the owner’s apartment and secured, among other things, data carriers. Among other things, he is being investigated for dangerous bodily harm.
