From the heirs: Munich reading by Georg M. Oswald – Munich

Does wealth spoil character? This is just one of many questions raised by Georg M. Oswald in his new novel, which is well worth reading. “In Our Circles” describes what money changes everything, based on a strivingly mindful middle-class academic family who, through inheritance, end up in a villa in the posh district.

Anyone who wins the inheritance lottery – a big issue in our society – also has some responsibility passed on to them: Not every possession ended up lawfully in the hands of the family during National Socialism. How to deal with injustices, with temptations? As an example, the Munich writer revolves around the question: what makes a good life?
