At first the police have evidence, but no suspect. Then she has a suspect, but no more evidence

The school had called. Dieter Huber did not show up for class. And everyone knew: Something was wrong. Playing blue wasn’t the 29-year-old secondary school teacher’s style at all.

“My wife immediately suspected something bad,” remembers Karl Schöpner, Dieter Huber’s brother-in-law, today, around 37 years later.
