After AVM had just released Fritz!OS 7.56 and thus for the first time a variant of Fritz!OS 7.50 for the Fritz!Box 7530 AX, two more devices are already following that are receiving the update for the first time: the Fritz!Repeater 3000 AX and the Fritz !Repeater 1200AX.
First final Fritz!OS 7.50 for both repeaters
With Fritz!OS 7.56, AVM has introduced the following innovations in the WLAN repeaters:
- Mesh WiFi now with dynamic smart repeating for more performance in the home network
- Improved radar detection and wifi auto channel function
- The country and language settings of the Fritz!Box (Mesh Master) are automatically transferred to the Fritz!Repeater
- Support for the simplified Fritz!Box change with a new assistant (Fritz!Box with Fritz!OS from 7.55)
With the update to Fritz!OS 7.56, both repeaters also get all the new functions of the extensive update to Fritz!OS 7.50, which was not available for them until now – they last stayed on Fritz!OS 7.41. All changes are in the changelog of the update for the Fritz!Repeater 3000 AX (TXT file) and in Changelog of the update for the Fritz!Repeater 1200 AX (TXT file) noted.
The Fritz!Repeater 1200, 3000 and 2400 had previously received the update to Fritz!OS 7.50, but they are now still missing the update to the newer version Fritz!OS 7.56.
The maintenance update to Fritz!OS 7.56 is now also available for the AVM Fritz!Box 7583 and Fritz!Box 7583 VDSL.
Update can be executed immediately
The update to Fritz!OS 7.56 can now be updated via the user interface of the two repeaters or, in the case of a mesh system with a Fritz!Box as the mesh master, via the Fritz!Box menu. As usual, however, it can still take a few days before any automatic update that has been set is made or the update is displayed in the user interface. In this case, the image files from the AVM server can be accessed again, with which the update can be installed manually.
The list below refers to the respective paths on the AVM server to download the respective image file.
Update for Fritz!Repeater 6000 not yet ready
The repeater flagship from AVM, the Fritz!Repeater 6000, remains on Fritz!OS 7.30 for the time being. For him is currently only a trial version in the Fritz! laboratory available if you don’t want to wait for the final release anymore.
