Greta Thunberg’s call for solidarity with Palestinians caused outrage a few days ago. Now a new post on the international FFF account is causing a stir.

The German group of Fridays for Future (In view of the Gaza war, FFF has clearly distanced itself from anti-Israel statements on the climate protection movement’s international account.

“No, the international account – as previously emphasized – does not speak for us. No, the post is not coordinated with us. No, we do not agree with the content,” the group wrote on the online platform X, formerly Twitter.

Harsh accusations against Israel

On Instagram, the international FFF account made harsh accusations against the Israeli state and “Western media”. “How Western media brainwashes you into siding with Israel,” the post begins.

Among other things, the media is hiding the fact that Hamas and its attacks on Israel are rooted “in 75 years of oppression and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.” It is not a conflict, but a genocide.

“We have made our position clear,” wrote the German section, referring to previous posts on their X account in which they expressed solidarity with Israel. “Since yesterday we have been experiencing unprecedented terror by Hamas against Israel. We are horrified and mourn the victims. Go to the solidarity rallies, show your flag,” it said on October 8th.

The day before, terrorists from Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, massacred civilians in Israel and abducted more than 200 people. Since then, Israel’s army has been bombing targets in the sealed-off coastal area and preparing a ground offensive. As a result, there are repeated demonstrations by Palestinians and supporters on German streets, in which some participants cheered the Islamist Hamas.

Last Friday, climate activist Greta Thunberg (20) called for a strike in solidarity with the Palestinians on social networks, causing outrage. Critics particularly complained that the Swede did not specifically mention the 1,400 deaths in the major attack by the Islamist Hamas on Israel two weeks ago.
